GSPCA starts £3.5m building project

Animal charity the GSPCA has started a series of building projects which it said could cost more than £3.5m.

The organisation said it hoped to build a new wildlife hospital, welfare kennels and ferret unit.

The first phase of development includes demolition work and is expected to cost more than £1m.

Manager Steve Byrne said it was the "biggest build" in the organisation's 152-year history.
